important notice for the volunteer project
Flights and Transport
The programme ALWAYS starts on a FRIDAY. That means that on friday a transport picks up the volunteers in Windhoek to bring them to Harnas where they will be introduced to the programme.
We ask all Working Guests to arrive BEFORE friday as the bus leaves between 8:00 and 9:00.
Arriving in friday can cause a long waiting time for the rest of the group if the flight is delayed or if luggage disappeared, so please rather arrive a day earlier and use the day to visit Windhoek or to buy things in the supermarket you like to take with you to Harnas.

The transfer from Windhoek to Harnas is included in the programme fee. The price for the transport from the airport to the accommodation in Windhoek (ca 20 Euro) and the accommodation itself (ca 30 Euro) is not included. They can be organized by Marika with your booking.
The transport back from Harnas to the airport is ALWAYS on a THURSDAY! |
Due to the expensive patrol prices and the transfer to Windhoek only once a week it may happen that we have to pick up food and other goods. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
VISA
To join the volunteer project you need a working visa, which Marika will mail you to be filled out. To apply for your visa we need (please fil out, scan and mail):
- the visa form fully completed and signed at bottom page B
- copy of the passport
- Qualification document or even a letter from their employer (to verifiy your passport)
- a copy of the deposit fee
The visa fee for 2009 is N$ 800.00 ( ADDITIONALLY)
NO VOLUNTEER WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE PART WITHOUT A VISA!!
